National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was founded in 1984. And though it was started because of young white boys going missing, they have still dedicated a large amount of their resources to people of color
TAKEN THE SERIES
Taken the series is about sharing the stories of missing and murdered indigenous women within Canada. Their website features engaging infographics and some of the episodes for free.
Muted
Muted is a short film created by the iconic Issa Rae in 2017. The short film navigates the missing person epidemic through the eyes of a parent. when her daughter disappears she "quickly learns the tragic lesson that all missing persons are not created equal."
Black and Missing Foundation INC.
Black & Missing Foundation, Inc. (BMFI), a non-profit organization, was founded in 2008 by Derrica Wilson and Natalie Wilson. They used their backgrounds and experiences to create the organization in order to bring attention to missing persons cases involving African Americans.

Not A Runaway, Inc. (NAR). NAR was created directly in response to Jholie’s disappearance and classification by the local law enforcement agency as a runaway.
​Peas In Their Pods (PEAS), a non-profit organization, was founded in 2007 and is currently led by Gaétane Borders and Anita Harris.The organization aims “to give a voice to missing children of color, and to fight against child abuse and sexual exploitation.”
Founded in 2022, Helping Survivors is an organization helping "to heal, educate and empower people" that have been impacted by sexual abuse, assault, or harassment.
